High Court Grants Permission For Challenge To Reduction Of Wythenshawe Hospital Services

Staff at Wythenshawe Hospital and their supporters from the wider community were given the green light to launch a legal challenge of the decision to downgrade the hospital and reduce the surgery services it provides.

The campaign group feels that the decision by the Committees In Common in the Healthier Together programme to choose Stepping Hill Hospital as the fourth specialist site in Greater Manchester was unlawful and instructed lawyers to investigate.

Bristol Protect Our NHS slams Bristol Clinical Commissioning Group for misleading the public about outcome of legal case

Bristol Clinical Commissioning Group (CCG) was today exposed for trying to hide the fact that it had admitted acting unlawfully and had agreed to take steps to correct its unlawful actions.  Instead of being open about its failings, the CCG attempted to mislead the public about the outcome of a court action brought against it by local patients by suggesting that the action had been “dropped”. Bedroom tax tenants can get legal aid to stop evictions and challenge Council refusal of DHP through judicial review

Solicitor Keith Lomax writes (below) about tenants’ eligibility for legal aid when facing eviction and how to challenge Councils’ decisions to refuse discretionary housing payments.
