Thanks to 302 people who signed Incredible Edible Mytholm’s petition – now closed

Thanks to the 302 people who signed the petition, calling on Calderdale Planning Committee to reject the Setbray/Belmont Homes planning application for a supermarket and hotel on the Mytholm Works/Browns Field site on King Street, Hebden Bridge.

The online petition is now closed.

I’ve added up all the signatures.  (A handful of enthusiastic folk signed up more than once and I’ve taken out duplicate signatures, which is why the current total at 302 is lower than yesterday’s total, when I hadn’t checked names.)

There is one more petition sign-up sheet to collect on Monday evening, so the final total could be more than 302, if people have signed this outstanding petition sheet.

The IEM Chair, Margaret Boyle, and Secretary, Jenny Shepherd, will present the petition to the Planning Committee meeting on Tuesday 3rd Dec, 6pm in Halifax Town Hall. Cllr Dave Young, a representative of the Coop and the IEM Chair will all speak against the application at the Planning Committee meeting.
