Hebden Bridge Town Partnership Action Plan launch on May 18th

Hebden Bridge Town Partnership is a group that includes representatives of Calderdale Council, the town and parish councils, local businesses, and community and voluntary organisations. A registered charity, its aims and objectives focus on promoting “the environmental economic and social regeneration of Hebden Royd and the four adjacent parishes of Blackshaw Head, Erringden, Heptonstall and Wadsworth.”

It is launching the town Action Plan, 2020 Vision, on Saturday May 18th in Hebden Bridge Town Hall.

The event starts at 10am and continues to 3pm and you are welcome to drop in at any time. There will be a series of workshops throughout the day on particular topics and themes. The full timetable for the day will shortly be on the HB Town Partnership website.

The Town Action plan contains 39 proposals for ways in which Hebden Bridge can be a better place to live and work. The Town Partnership has been working on the town Action Plan for well over a year.

Member organisations and others who have been closely involved in the Partnership are invited to a pre-launch event on Thursday May 16th at 7pm, in the Terrace Room, HB Town Hall. Advance copies of 2020 Vision will be available at this event.

Quarterly public meeting dates

The Partnership are also planning quarterly public meetings, open to representatives of  member organisations and others from the area. All meetings will be in the Terrace Room in the Town Hall. The summer meeting will be on Monday July 8th at 7pm. The autumn meeting, on Thursday October 10th, is the AGM and local organisations are invited to give a three minute update of recent activities and plans. The winter meeting will be on Monday 13th January.

Previous activities

Previous regeneration activities by HB Town Partnership include the pedestrianisation of  St.George’s Square and Bridgegate, and the transfer and development of Hebden Royd Town Hall as a community asset owned by Hebden Bridge Community Association.
