A Sunday Mirror report has found that Craig Whittaker MP has claimed £705 of gas and electricity costs, to be paid for by the public.
According to the 2008 Calderdale Private Sector Stock Condition Survey, 24% of his constituents are living in fuel poverty. This means they are at risk of a variety of health problems and even death.
Despite comparable levels of fuel poverty throughout the UK, by 2013 the Coalition government had cut funding to help people in fuel poverty by 26%, and also cut the budget for energy efficiency measures for the fuel poor in England by 44%.

If the£700 is for time in a London room.OK but not if it’s for his home in Calderdale.he must remember he is not a unpaid volunteer.
