Calderdale Council has introduced a local hardship fund for people who receive Council
Tax reduction.

If you qualify for the fund (see info below) and need to claim assistance, you can phone the Council’s advisers on 01422 288003.

People who qualify for the Council Tax Hardship Fund will receive the following help from the Council:

• temporary suspension of any Council Tax debt recovery activity by the Council
• signposting to appropriate organisations who can help
• consideration of 3 months hardship payment to cover the council tax

Qualifying for the fund

People qualify for the fund if they are receiving Council Tax Reduction at the time of application, as well as financial advice and support.
